Gene’s inland marine has provided a unique marina service to northern Michigan for 26 years and here are some of the most asked questions we have been asked. I believe people want somebody to call who will be honest and accommodating - Gene’s Inland Marine is that place!!!!!
1. Where are you located?
We are 4 miles south of Lake City Michigan and service a 50 mile radius.
2. Do you service older motors?
Yes we do we have access to parts in northern Michigan that a lot of marinas don’t.
3. What is your repair turn around?
We pride ourselves on customer service. We try to get the weekender going A.S.A.P. but we do schedule by appointment. Please call us for more information.
4. Do you sell carpet, furniture, trailers etc for any boat?
Gene’s Inland Marine has been in the northern Michigan area for so long that we have established relationships with companies all over the country. We can get almost anything you need!!
5. Do you take trade-ins or sell on consignment?
Absolutely! We take trade-ins and encourage consignment sales but every deal is different so call us for more information.
6. Do you make service calls to different lakes?
We do make service calls to lakes but we encourage troubleshooting over the phone before we setup an appointment. This can save you a lot of money. Our advice is free – it’s another service we offer so we don’t have to charge you for a service call.
7. Do you rent pontoon boats?
We have 4 rental boats. Our primary lake is Missaukee but we do deliver to Sapphire, Crooked Lake, and on occasion Cadillac & Mitchell. Be advised that to leave Missaukee there is an extra charge. Please call us for more information.
8. Why would we come to you rather than any other in town?
We will do everything possible to get you on the water whether its loan you a boat, send you for the part, or we’ll put the part on. We understand your time is limited after all these years in northern Michigan we know its valuable time.
9. Can you make my old boat look new?
The way we got into this business 26 years ago was redoing pontoon boats. We used to change steel pontoons to aluminum then refurbish. From there you have to call because it may be more cost effect to redo your pontoon than replace it.
10. Do you install docks & hoists?
We assemble our own docks & hoists but also install docks and put hoists in. Please call us for an estimate and to make an installation appointment.
